Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 3/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low pressure system over the western Tasman Sea is resulting in vigorous southerly winds and large waves along the coast. Conditions are expected to gradually ease this week as the low moves slowly to the east. Over inland New South Wales lighter winds and clear skies in the wake of this low will result in extensive morning frost. A high pressure system strengthening south of the Bight will bring further unsettled weather over the east of the state by the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers about the coast south of Port Macquarie. Isolated showers developing over the far southwest later in the day. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Fresh to strong south to southwest winds along the coast, tending light and variable further inland. Dangerous surf conditions along the coast.Friday 5 SeptemberThe chance of shower in most areas except the northwest. Showers increasing along southern and central coastal districts. Partly cloudy. South to southeasterly winds. Dangerous surf conditions along the coast easing in the south.Saturday 6 SeptemberScattered showers along central and northern parts of the coast, tending more isolated in the southeast and the northern inland. Fine across the southern and central inland. East to southeasterly winds.Sunday 7 SeptemberIsolated showers in the far north and northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
