Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extending from the Tasman Sea over South Australia will remain stationary this week. A trough of low pressure will move into the west of the State during Saturday, then move eastwards and weaken on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine. Cool to mild with mainly light northeast to southeasterly winds.Thursday 28 AugustIsolated early frost patches over and to the east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges, and over central Eyre Peninsula. Fine apart from possible early morning fog about Kangaroo Island and the South East district. A mild day grading to warm in the west, with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, tending north to northwesterly about southern coasts.Friday 29 AugustFine apart from morning fog patches over the Lower South East district. Isolated early frost patches over and to the east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges. Mild to warm, tending to hot near the western border. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening in the west.Saturday 30 AugustFine. Isolated early frost patches over the Flinders. Mild to warm grading to hot west of about Ceduna with freshening northerly winds ahead of a milder, southerly wind change developing west of Ceduna in the afternoon or evening.Sunday 31 August
Warm grading to hot in the far north, ahead of a cooler southwesterly change extending from the west, reaching western parts of the North East Pastoral in the evening. Showers developing with the change over the southern agricultural area, Eyre Peninsula and the West Coast district.
No rainfall is forecast from Wednesday till Saturday. On Sunday totals of 1 to 5 mm are expected over the southern agricultural area, Eyre Peninsula and the West Coast district, increasing to 5 to 10 mm near southern coasts and ranges.
Monday until WednesdayShowers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, with the chance of showers extending northwards over the Pastoral and Flinders districts south of about Leigh Creek. Showers contracting southwards on Tuesday, to be confined to the Lower South East on Wednesday, then clearing in the afternoon. Cool to cold grading to mild in the far north with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds, but becoming milder again on Wednesday as winds turn northeast to northwesterly from the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
