Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 24/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system remains almost stationary over the southern Tasman Sea, while a low pressure trough lies off the New South Wales and southern Queensland coasts. A weak cold front crossing southern New South Wales will reach the southern coast on Monday before decaying, although an upper-level circulation associated with this feature should remain over the state for several days. This upper-level feature is expected to assist in the development of a complex low pressure system over the northern Tasman Sea, with multiple centres likely to form during the week.
