Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1038 hPa over the Tasman Sea will remain near stationary for the next week extending a ridge of high pressure over the State. A low pressure trough over the far west of the State will move eastwards this evening and during Saturday to reach about Renmark to Oodnadatta late Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. Moderate northeast to northerly ahead of a southwest to southerly change near Fowlers Bay, extending to about Elliston during the evening.Saturday 23 AugustIsolated showers developing over the southern agricultural area, more likely south of a line Port Lincoln to Nuriootpa to to Keith, contracting to the Lower South east coast in the evening. Possible isolated thunderstorm about the Lower South east coast during the late afternoon and evening. Patchy morning fog in the west. Mild to warm with light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times over the southern agricultural area, ahead of a cooler, light to moderate southwest to southeasterly change extending from the west.Sunday 24 AugustThe chance of showers about the southeast districts more likely over the Lower South East, contracting to the far southern coast in the evening. Patchy morning fog and frost in the south. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending fresh southwesterly in the southeast.Monday 25 AugustSlight chance of showers over the lower South East coast in the morning. Patchy morning fog and frost in the south. Warm in the north and west, mild over the remainder. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 26 August
Possible morning fog patches in the Lower South East then a fine day. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts and ranges with possible falls of 5 to 10 mm about the Lower South East district.
Wednesday until FridayFine. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
