MELBOURNE - Aug 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system off the New South Wales coast moves east over the Tasman Sea today. A high pressure system currently south of the Bight follows in the wake of this low, extending a ridge over western and central NSW over the next few days. The high ridge will extend over the east/northeast of the state by the end of the week where it is expected to remain into the weekend. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers in the east tending scattered in the southeast with rain areas near the central coast in the morning. The chance of showers in the central and eastern inland. Partly cloudy in the far west. Southeast to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast.Wednesday 20 AugustIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered on the coastal fringe. The chance of showers in the northeastern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast in the morning.Thursday 21 AugustIsolated showers on the coast and ranges tending scattered on the coastal fringe.
