MELBOURNE - Aug 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high south of the State will move slowly eastwards to be located over Tasmania by Wednesday night. A low pressure trough will move into the west of the State on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayCold at first with frost patches. Morning fog over Eyre Peninsula the Flinders and Mid North districts. Possible isolated showers near southern coasts and over the Eyre Peninsula coast south of Cleve. A cool to cold day grading to mild in the west with mainly light southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 20 AugustCold early with frost patches. Morning fog over Eyre Peninsula and the Lower South East district. The chance of isolated showers about the southern coasts of Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Possible afternoon showers over and to the east of the Flinders ranges. Cool grading to mild in the west with light southeast to easterly winds, tending moderate east to northeasterly in the west.Thursday 21 AugustEarly frost patches over eastern districts. Possible afternoon showers over and to the east of the Flinders ranges. Cool to mild with light northeast to northerly winds, moderate to fresh at times in the west.Friday 22 August Fine apart from the slight chance of showers developing west of Ceduna after midday. Cool to mild grading to warm in the west. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times in the west, shifting southwest to southerly west of Ceduna during the afternoon or evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning to midnight Friday are expected to be less than 1 mm near southern coasts and over the Eyre Peninsula coast south of Cleve, west of Ceduna, and over and to the east of the Flinders ranges.
