MELBOURNE - Aug 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system over eastern NSW will move into the Tasman Sea on Monday. A high south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards over the next several days to be located over Tasmania by Wednesday night. Forecast for the rest of SundayPossible isolated showers about southern coasts and ranges. A cool evening with light to moderate southerly winds.Monday 18 AugustEarly inland frost. Morning fog, mainly west of Spencer Gulf. Partly cloudy with isolated showers about Kangaroo Island, Fleurieu Peninsula and the east coast of Eyre Peninsula. Possible isolated showers extending over central and western parts of the agricultural area. Generally cool with light southerly winds becoming variable in the west.Tuesday 19 AugustMorning frost and fog. Possible isolated showers about Kangaroo Island, Fleurieu Peninsula and the east coast of Eyre Peninsula. Cool to mild. Mainly light southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 20 AugustFine apart from a slight chance of morning showers about southern coasts. Cool to mild. Mainly light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 21 August Fine. Early frost, mainly east of Spencer Gulf. Mild with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm with possible isolated gaugings of 2 to 5 mm about Kangaroo Island and the east coast of Eyre Peninsula. Friday until SundayFine. Mild to warm. Northerly winds persisting for most areas through the period.
