MELBOURNE - Aug 16/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system over NSW will move into the Tasman Sea on Monday. A high south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards over the next several days to be located over Tasmania by Wednesday night. Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly frost in the northwest and about the east of the Lower South East district. Areas of morning fog, mainly in the west. Isolated showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast, possibly reaching remaining southern coasts and ranges and the West Coast district east of Fowlers Bay during the day. Possible isolated showers over the Flinders district and isolated showers over the east of the North East Pastoral district, clearing during the day. Cool with light to moderate south to southwest winds.Monday 18 AugustEarly frost and areas of fog. Isolated showers about the southern coasts, possibly extending over the agricultural area during the day. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Tuesday 19 AugustMorning frost and fog. Slight chance of showers about southern coast. Cool to mild with mainly light winds, tending moderate southerly about the South East districts.Wednesday 20 August Slight chance of showers about southern coasts, and about the Flinders Ranges in the afternoon. Generally cool to mild. Mainly light southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about southern coast and ranges with less than 2 mm elsewhere. Thursday until SaturdayFine on Thursday and Friday ahead of a change on Saturday bringing a medium chance of showers about southern coasts, with a slight chance of showers extending over remaining agricultural areas.
