Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1030 hPa over the Tasman Sea is weakening. A new high will move over the Bight on Sunday and then move very slowly southeastwards. An upper level low and cold airmass with an associated surface trough of low pressure over the northwest of New South Wales will move eastwards over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayEarly frost in the northwest and the Lower South East district. Early fog patches over the West Coast, the Lower South East and North East Pastoral districts. Possible isolated showers in the west, isolated showers about central parts, tending scattered in the east except for the South East district. Areas of rain in the morning over the south of the Northeast Pastoral, Riverland and north of the Murraylands districts. Possible early thunder near the northeast border. Cool to cold with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh about inland parts.Sunday 17 AugustEarly frost in the northwest. Slight chance of showers about southern coasts and east of Leigh Creek to Clare, increasing to a medium chance of rain near the eastern border north of about Renmark. Showers and rain in the east contracting east and clearing during the day. Cool with light to moderate south to southwest winds, fresh in the east.Monday 18 AugustEarly frost in the northwest, the Flinders, Mid North, Riverland and the south of the Northeast Pastoral district. The chance of showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, more likely about the southern agricultural area. Cool with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 19 August
Patchy morning frost. Slight chance of showers about southern coasts, and also about the eastern border from about Lameroo to Broken Hill. Cool to mild with light to moderate southerly winds, fresh at times about southern coasts and in the east.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm south of Ceduna to Cummins to Leigh Creek, increasing to 5 to 15 mm over eastern inland parts with local falls of 15 to 25 mm in the south of the Northeast Pastoral. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Wednesday until FridaySlight chance of showers about southern coasts on Wednesday, otherwise fine. Generally cool to mild with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
