Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1034 hPa over the Tasman Sea is weakening. A new high will move into the Bight on Sunday. An upper level low and cold airmass with an associated surface trough of low pressure over the Northeast Pastoral district will move eastwards over New South Wales on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers east of about Coober Pedy to Kimba to Keith, increasing to areas of rain over the northern agricultural area, Flinders, east of the Northwest Pastoral and southern and central parts of the Northeast Pastoral. Possible thunder between Moomba to Woomera to Broken Hill. Isolated showers in the far west. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh and gusty in the north.Saturday 16 AugustEarly frost in the northwest and the Lower South East district. Early fog patches over the West Coast and the South East. Isolated showers about the west coast and east of Port Lincoln to Coober Pedy, increasing to areas of rain east of Leigh Creek to Clare to Lameroo. Cool to cold with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh about eastern inland parts.Sunday 17 AugustEarly frost in the northwest. Slight chance of showers about southern coasts and east of Leigh Creek to Clare, increasing to a medium chance of rain near the eastern border north of about Renmark. Showers and rain in the east contracting east and clearing during the day. Cool with light to moderate south to southwest winds, fresh in the east.Monday 18 AugustEarly frost in the northwest, the Flinders, Mid North, Riverland and the south of the Northeast Pastoral district. The chance of showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, more likely about the southern agricultural area. Cool with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 19 August
Patchy morning frost. Slight chance of showers about southern coasts, and also about the eastern border from about Lameroo to Broken Hill. Cool to mild with light to moderate southerly winds, fresh at times about southern coasts and in the east.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 5 to 15 mm over the Pastoral, Flinders and Riverland districts south of Moomba and east of Coober Pedy, increasing to 15 to 35 mm on and east of the Flinders Ranges.
Wednesday until FridaySlight chance of showers about southern coasts on Wednesday, otherwise fine. Generally cool to mild with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
