Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation

The high will be slow moving over the next day or two with shower activity expected near the coast, mostly northern half, and generally fine conditions in the west. A trough is expected to deepen over western Queensland/northwest NSW Thursday with a low pressure system likely to form on Friday. The low and expected extensive rain band will move slowly east on Saturday with the heaviest falls likely from the central north southward through the Central West Slopes to the Riverina, and with some rain extending to the coast later in the day.
