MELBOURNE - Aug 11/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high pressure system south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be centred south of Kangaroo Island later Thursday, and then near the east coast later on Friday. A trough of low pressure will develop near the eastern border on Friday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over southern coasts, with the chance of isolated showers over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and near western coasts. Cool with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 12 AugustAreas of early frost inland, with patchy early fog west of Ceduna. Isolated showers near the coasts, with the chance of isolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts, chiefly afternoon. A cool to cold day with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 13 AugustAreas of early frost inland. The chance of showers near southern and western coasts, and also over the Flinders and Pastoral districts east of about Woomera, chiefly afternoon. A cool to cold day with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 14 AugustAreas of early frost over eastern districts and in the far northwest. The chance of showers near southern and western coasts, and also over the Flinders and Pastoral districts east of about Coober Pedy, more likely east of Woomera. A cool day with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Friday 15 August Areas of early frost over eastern districts and in the far northwest. The chance of showers over areas east of about Coober Pedy to Renmark, more likely east of Leigh Creek. A cool day with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon to midnight Friday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 5 mm near southern coasts, and further to 5 to 10 mm over the Pastoral and Flinders districts east of about Leigh Creek.
