MELBOURNE - Aug 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough will move across the south of the State this evening. A high pressure system over the southwest corner of WA will move slowly eastwards to be south of Adelaide on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over southern coastal districts, increasing to scattered showers over the Lower South East. Possible isolated light showers over the Riverland, southern Flinders, Mid North, and the south of the Pastoral districts until evening. Cool to mild overnight with light winds turning southwest to southeasterly.Sunday 10 AugustPossible morning fog patches, mainly over the agricultural area. Cool to cold at first over the Flinders and south of the North East Pastoral district with early frost. A partly cloudy day with isolated showers about the agricultural area and West Coast district. Cool to mild day with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 11 AugustFine apart from possible isolated showers about southern and western coasts. A cool to mild day with moderate southeasterly winds.Tuesday 12 AugustA cold to very cold morning with widespread areas of frost. A slight chance of showers about southern and western coasts, more likely about Kangaroo Island. Mainly cool with light to moderate southeasterly winds.Wednesday 13 August A cold to very cold morning with widespread areas of frost. A slight chance of isolated showers about southern and western coasts, clearing during the day. Cool to mild with mainly moderate southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 10 mm about Kangaroo island and remaining southern coastal areas. Thursday until SaturdayA slight chance of patchy rain developing east of the Flinders Ranges late next week, extending southwards to the Murraylands district very late in the period.
