MELBOURNE - Aug 8/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high is centred over New South Wales will move over to the Tasman Sea later today. A low pressure trough is expected to move across the south of the State during Saturday and early Sunday. A new high will be centred over the Bight by Sunday evening. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers developing over southern coastal districts during the afternoon and evening, scattered over the Lower South East from late afternoon. Possible isolated light afternoon showers over the Riverland, southern Flinders, the Mid North, and the south of the Pastoral districts. Cold at first over eastern parts with some light frost, then a mainly mild day with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds shifting southwest to southeasterly during the afternoon and evening.Sunday 10 AugustIsolated showers about the agricultural area and West Coast district. Possible morning fog patches. A cool to cold morning over the Flinders and south of the Northeast pastoral with early frost, then a cool to mild day. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 11 AugustSlight chance of light showers about southern and western coasts. A cool to mild day with moderate southeasterly winds.Tuesday 12 August Slight chance of showers about southern coasts. Mainly cool with light to moderate southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East, Kangaroo Island and the south of Fleurieu Peninsula, with local falls of 5 to 10 mm possible about the Lower South East coast. Less then 2 mm are expected elsewhere. Wednesday until FridayFine apart from a slight chance of isolated showers about southern coasts on Wednesday.
