Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the Bight will move slowly eastwards over South Australia this week. A trough will move across the south during Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area to the south of about Adelaide. A cool to cold evening with light to moderate southeasterly winds, tending westerly in the south.Wednesday 6 AugustIsolated showers near southern coasts and over the South East districts. A cold to very cold morning with areas of frost. Possible isolated morning fog in the south. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending west to northwesterly in the south during the morning.Thursday 7 AugustThe chance of isolated showers over the South East districts, Kangaroo Island and the south of the Fleurieu Peninsula. A cold morning with areas of frost. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north with mainly light winds.Friday 8 AugustA cold morning with areas of frost. A cool day in the south grading to mild in the north with light to moderate northerly winds.Saturday 9 August
Isolated showers developing over southern coastal districts. Cold at first over central and eastern parts with areas of frost then a cool to mild day with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds shifting southwest to southeasterly during the afternoon and evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East, Kangaroo Island and the south of Fleurieu Peninsula, with local falls of 5 to 10 mm possible about the Lower South East coast. Less then 2 mm are expected elsewhere.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area and coastal parts on Sunday contracting to coastal parts on Monday and Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
