MELBOURNE - Aug 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the Bight will move eastwards over South Australia this week. Forecast for the rest of MondayPossible isolated showers about southern coasts and northeast of Moomba. Possible late frost inland. Mainly light winds.Tuesday 5 AugustA cold to very cold morning with widespread areas of frost, except in the far northeast and near coasts. Isolated showers extending over the South East district, Kangaroo Island and southern Fleurieu Peninsula and also northeast of about Moomba. A cool to mild day with light to moderate southeasterly winds, tending westerly in the south.Wednesday 6 AugustFine apart from isolated showers near southern coasts and over the South East district. A cold morning with areas of frost, chiefly over the northern agricultural area and the Northwest Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending west to northwesterly in the south during the morning.Thursday 7 AugustThe chance of isolated showers over the southeast districts and Kangaroo Island. A cold morning with areas of frost, chiefly over the northern agricultural area and the Northwest Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north with mainly light winds, tending moderate northerly in the west.Friday 8 August A cold morning with areas of frost, chiefly over the northern agricultural area and the Northwest Pastoral and Flinders districts Fine day. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north with light to moderate northerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon to midnight Friday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South east district and less then 2 mm elsewhere. Saturday until MondayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area and western coasts contracting south during the period.
