Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lies over the northern inland of New South Wales while a strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia extends a ridge across the remainder of the state. The ridge will be dominant synoptic feature over the next few with only a weak cold front expected to move through southeast of the state later on Wednesday and during Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges, contracting to the coast tonight. The chance of showers over the northern inland, chiefly near the Queensland border. Mostly clear skies elsewhere. Light and variable winds in the south. East to southeast winds in the north.Tuesday 5 AugustIsolated showers on the far north coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of showers over the northern inland, chiefly near the Queensland border. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost areas on the ranges and southern inland. Morning fog patches from the northeast of the state to the southern inland. Southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 6 AugustIsolated showers possible on the north coast and about the western slopes of the southern ranges later. Morning frost areas on the ranges and southern inland. Morning fog patches from the northeast of the state to the southern inland. Mostly sunny otherwise. West to northwest winds, freshening about parts of the southeast.Thursday 7 AugustIsolated showers about inland parts of the southeast and along the coastal fringe. Morning fog and frosts. Mostly sunny otherwise. Southwest to southerly winds, fresh along the coast. Northwest winds at first in the northeast of the state.Friday 8 AugustIsolated showers about the central and northern coast and ranges. Chance of a shower about the southern slopes.
