Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 3/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over northern Victoria will remain slow moving for several days while weak frontal systems pass to the south. The high will retrogress to west of Adelaide on Wednesday as a cold front moves northeastwards from the Southern Ocean to cross southern Victoria early on Thursday. The high will then move eastwards towards northern Victoria later in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Light winds.Monday 4 AugustVery cold at first with widespread inland frost. A fine, cool and sunny day to follow with light winds tending light to moderate northwesterly in the southwest. Isolated showers possible near the west coast at night.Tuesday 5 AugustMorning inland frost, mainly in the north and east. Local early fog. A fine day except for the chance of isolated showers about the west coast and the South Gippsland coast. A cool and mostly sunny day with light to moderate westerly winds.Wednesday 6 AugustMorning inland frost, mainly over the north. Local early fog inland. Isolated showers on and south of the ranges, falling as snow above 1600 metres, although fine over East Gippsland. Fine over the north. A cool day with light to moderate westerly winds, freshening near the coast.Thursday 7 AugustIsolated showers over southern and mountain areas, falling as snow above 1400 metres. Fine over the north. A cool day with a light to moderate west to southwesterly wind, fresh at first over the southeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Monday.Product IDV10310
