MELBOURNE - Jul 26/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over Western New South Wales is moving east and will be centred off the east coast of Australia on Monday. Weak fronts will slide to the south of the State early next week, ahead of a stronger front approaching southern coasts late Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly morning frost in the northeast, mainly over the Flinders and North East Pastoral districts. A fine and cool to mild day with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Monday 28 JulyFine apart from possible isolated showers and thunderstorms about southern coasts and in the Lower South East. Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate northwesterly winds, freshening about the coasts.Tuesday 29 JulyIsolated showers developing over the southern agricultural area, increasing to scattered showers about southern coasts and in the Lower South East. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate northwesterly winds, becoming fresh to strong about the coasts.Wednesday 30 July Possible isolated showers near southern coasts and in the Lower South East. Cool in the south grading to warm in the north with moderate west to northwesterly winds, increasing to fresh to strong in the south. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the southern agricultural area, increasing to 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts and ranges and in the Lower South East. Thursday until SaturdayShowers increasing over the southern agricultural area as a cold front moves over the south, with the chance of showers extending into the south of the Pastoral and Flinders districts, before easing and contracting southwards on Saturday.
