Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 25/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over central New South Wales is moving to the northeast and it will move off the coast later on Saturday as a high pressure system moves over southeastern Australia. The next cold front is expected to cross the state during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMostly clear in the west and partly cloudy in the northeast. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered in the northeast with the chance of thunderstorms. Snow showers above 1500 metres. North to northwesterly winds, tending westerly in the west.Saturday 26 JulyPartly cloudy in the western half and on the south coast. Isolated showers in the remainder tending scattered in the northeastern inland but clearing from the west. Snow on the Alps above 1400 metres. The chance of thunderstorms in the northeast. Early fog patches on the southern slopes and ranges. Morning frost patches on the tablelands. Northwest to southwesterly winds, gusty about higher grounds.Sunday 27 JulyThe chance of snow showers on the southwestern Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frosts on the slopes and ranges.. Southwesterly winds in the east, tending light and variable in the west.Monday 28 JulyMostly sunny throughout. Early frosts inland. Variable winds.Tuesday 29 JulyMostly sunny apart from the chance of showers on the Alps. Early frosts inland.
