Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 21/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over Victoria will drift eastwards on Wednesday as a low pressure system and associated trough crosses waters south of the Bight. The trough will weaken as it moves across Victoria late Thursday and during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFog patches developing overnight in most districts. Light winds.Tuesday 22 JulyMorning fog patches and widespread frost, locally severe. A cool to mild and mainly sunny day to follow with light winds.Wednesday 23 JulyMorning frost and fog patches then a fine, cool day. High cloud increasing from the west and patchy rain developing in the far west during the evening. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Thursday 24 JulyPatchy rain, more extensive about the dividing range and later over the southwest and falling as snow above 1400 metres. Cool to cold and cloudy with moderate northeasterly winds, tending northerly over the west.Friday 25 JulyAreas of rain, mainly over northern districts, gradually contracting eastwards and falling as snow above 1400 metres.
