Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over the central Tasman Sea is moving slowly east as a strong high extends across eastern Australia. This pattern is promoting fine conditions over the inland, while vigorous southerly winds bring the odd shower to many coastal areas. The high is expected to drift slowly east over the next few days, and will remain the dominant synoptic feature through the first half of the new week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers along the coastal fringe between Batemans Bay and Port Macquarie, tending scattered in the vicinity of Port Stephens. Fine elsewhere. Light to moderate southerly winds west of the ranges, tending fresh to strong and gusty near the coast. Dangerous surf conditions.Sunday 20 JulyIsolated showers along the coastal fringe north of Nowra, tending scattered in the vicinity of Port Stephens. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost areas inland, widespread about the ranges and western slopes. Local morning fog patches. Southerly winds in the east, fresh to strong at first, and generally light winds inland. Dangerous surf conditions, easing in the south.Monday 21 JulyIsolated showers on the northern and central coasts and adjacent ranges, scattered at first about the coastal fringe. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost areas inland, widespread about the ranges and western slopes. Local morning fog patches. South to southeasterly winds near the coast, and light variable winds inland.Tuesday 22 JulyIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost about the ranges and western slopes, mainly in the south. East to southeasterly winds near the coast, and light variable winds inland.Wednesday 23 JulyIsolated showers developing in the southwest, more likely near the Victorian border. The chance of showers on the northern coastal fringe. Fine elsewhere. Early frost on the tablelands.
