Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Kangaroo Island will move slowly southeastwards to be centred east of Tasmania on Monday. A trough of low pressure will move into the west of the State on Wednesday and move east to be near Port Lincoln by Wednesday evening.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPossible isolated light showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East, clearing during the evening. Cool to cold with light winds, becoming moderate north to northeasterly in the west.Sunday 20 JulyPossible isolated showers about the Nullarbor Plain. Cold in the east and the far north with morning frost patches. Early morning fog patches about the Lower South East. A cool day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds.Monday 21 JulyPossible isolated showers in the far west, extending over the West Coast district, Kangaroo Island, Eyre, Yorke and Fleurieu Peninsulas and the Lower South East coast, contracting east to clear by the end of the day. Cold early with morning frost east of about Oodnadatta to Whyalla to Keith then a cool day with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 22 JulyPatchy rain developing west of about Coober Pedy to Streaky Bay from late morning. Cold early with morning frost patches about the Flinders and Northeast Pastoral districts. Cool with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 23 July
Patchy rain in the west extending over the remainder, though remaining fine northeast of Oodnadatta to Marree. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, turning moderate to fresh westerly in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the South East Districts and northeast of Ernabella/Pukatja to Yunta. 2 to 5 mm over the remainder.
Thursday until SaturdaySlight to medium chance of rain south of Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek, contracting east and clearing later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
