MELBOURNE - Jul 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system over the central Tasman Sea is very slowly moving east as a strong high pressure system moves over southeastern Australia from the west extending a ridge across New South Wales and to the western Coral Sea. The high will be move over the southwestern Tasman Sea on Monday and it will continue to move slowly east over the next few days. As the ridge weaken a cold front is expected to move through during Thursday and Friday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers along the coastal fringe. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frosts inland. Light to moderate southerly winds west of the ranges, fresh to strong near the coast. Dangerous surf conditions.Sunday 20 JulyIsolated showers along the coastal fringe. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost areas inland, widespread about the ranges and western slopes. Southerly winds turning light north to northeasterly inland. Dangerous surf conditions, easing in the south.Monday 21 JulyIsolated showers on the northern and central coasts and adjacent ranges. The chance of showers in the far southwest. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost areas inland, widespread about the ranges and western slopes. South to southeast winds near the coast and light variable winds inland.Tuesday 22 JulyIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning frost patches about the ranges, mostly in the south.
