Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system just east of Victoria will continue to move eastwards over the Tasman Sea. A strong high pressure ridge over the Bight will drift slowly eastwards over the weekend and early next week, reaching far eastern Victoria by late Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over southern Victoria, scattered in the southeast, and falling as snow above 1200 metres. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds, strong at first in the east, though slowly moderating from the west.Saturday 19 JulyIsolated showers over most southern and mountain districts, falling as snow above 1200 metres. Fine in the north. Morning frost patches inland then a cool to cold and partly cloudy day with light southerly winds, fresher in the far southeast.Sunday 20 JulyFine apart from possible coastal showers. Morning frost patches inland then a cool and mostly cloudy day with light winds.Monday 21 JulyFine and becoming partly cloudy. Morning frost patches inland then a cool day with light winds tending northerly in the west.Tuesday 22 JulyFine.
