Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across western and central parts of the State today and then weaken. Another front will move across the west on Wednesday and the remainder of the State on Thursday. A high will develop over the Bight later on Friday and then move east during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPatchy rain, contracting east during the day to clear by late evening. Isolated showers to follow over the west coast and agricultural area, tending to scattered showers with possible isolated thunderstorms about western coasts and scattered showers about the Metropolitan Area, southern Mount Lofty Ranges and coastal parts of the Murraylands and Upper South East districts. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northerly winds, ahead of a fresh and gusty westerly change in the west, extending through central parts in the evening, strong and squally about the coasts and southern ranges.Wednesday 16 JulyScattered showers over the southern agricultural area with possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts. Possible small hail about southern coasts in the evening. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and far south of the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool to cold, grading to mild in the far north. Light winds in the far north, moderate to fresh northwest to westerly winds over the remainder, strong about southern coasts.Thursday 17 JulyScattered showers about southern agricultural area with possible small hail south of about Adelaide. Possible isolated thunderstorms over the southeast. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area, Flinders and far south of the Pastoral districts. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts.Friday 18 July
Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area with possible showers over the northern agricultural area and far south of the pastorals during the afternoon. Cool in the south, mild in the north with light and variable winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday until midnight Friday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 20 to 40 mm about the southern Mount Lofty Ranges. 2 to 10 mm over the northern agricultural area, 1 to 5 mm over the south of the pastoral districts and less than 1 mm to the north.
Saturday until MondayIsolated showers about the agricultural area, more likely about the southern coasts and ranges. Cool to mild with light and variable winds, becoming moderate northerly on Sunday and Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
