Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 14/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1035 hPa over Victoria will move east to be over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday. A cold front will move across the west of the State on Tuesday and then weaken. Another front will move across the west on Wednesday and the remainder of the State on Thursday. A high pressure system will develop over the Bight later on Friday then move east during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of MondayPatchy rain in the north, extending southwards to a line Kingscote to Broken Hill by late evening and increasing to areas of rain northwest of about Woomera. Possible isolated light showers extending to remaining parts except the Lower South East. Cold to very cold with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening in the west and about southern coasts during the day.Tuesday 15 JulyPatchy rain and possible light showers in the north, contracting east during the day to clear by evening. Isolated showers to follow over the west coast and agricultural area, increasing to scattered showers with possible isolated thunderstorms about western and southern coasts and ranges. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northerly winds, turning fresh and gusty westerly in the west.Wednesday 16 JulyScattered showers over the southern agricultural area with possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts. Possible small hail about southern coasts in the evening. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and far south of the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool to cold, grading to mild in the far north. Light winds in the far north, moderate to fresh northwest to westerly winds over the remainder, strong about southern coasts.Thursday 17 JulyScattered showers about southern agricultural area with possible small hail south of about Adelaide. Possible isolated thunderstorms over the southeast. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area, Flinders and far south of the Pastoral districts. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts.Friday 18 July
Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area with possible showers over the northern agricultural area and far south of the pastorals during the afternoon. Cool in the south, mild in the north with light and variable winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday until midnight Friday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the Northwest Pastoral, 5 to 15 mm and over the southern agricultural area, reaching 15 to 25 mm about the southern coasts and 20 to 40 mm about the southern Mount Lofty Ranges. Less then 2 mm over the remainder.
Saturday until MondayIsolated showers about the agricultural area, more likely about the southern coasts and ranges. Cool to mild with light and variable winds, becoming moderate northerly on Sunday and Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
