Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1032 hPa over western Victoria will move east to be over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday. A cold front will move across the west of the State on Tuesday and then weaken. Another front will move across the west on Wednesday and the remainder of the State on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayEarly frost patches over central and eastern districts. Patchy rain in the north, extending southwards to a line Kingscote to Broken Hill by late evening and increasing to areas of rain northwest of about Woomera. Possible isolated light showers extending to remaining parts except the Lower South East. Cold to very cold with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening in the west and about southern coasts during the day.Tuesday 15 JulyPatchy rain and possible light showers in the north, contracting east during the day to clear by evening. Isolated showers to follow over the west coast and agricultural area, increasing to scattered showers with possible isolated thunderstorms about western and southern coasts. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northerly winds, turning fresh and gusty westerly in the west.Wednesday 16 JulyScattered showers over Lower Eyre Peninsula and southern coastal districts with possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and far south of the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool to cold, grading to mild in the far north. Light winds in the far north, moderate to fresh northwest to westerly winds over the remainder, strong about southern coasts.Thursday 17 July
Scattered showers about southern coasts and ranges with possible small hail. Possible isolated thunderstorms over the southeast. Possible isolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast. Cool to mild with light winds in the north and moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds in the south.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the Northwest Pastoral, 5 to 10 mm and over the southern agricultural area, reaching 10 to 20 mm about the Mount Lofty Ranges, the west coast of Eyre Peninsula and about southern coasts. Less then 2 mm over the remainder.
Friday until SundayShowers about the agricultural area, more likely about the southern coasts and ranges. Cool in the south, mild in the north with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, becoming light and variable on Saturday then northerly on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
