MELBOURNE - Jul 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front crossed most of New South Wales yesterday and overnight, it will move through the northeast this morning bringing with it a south to southwesterly change. A strong high pressure system south of the Bight will move east over the next couple of days, to be centred over southeast NSW on Monday night and then over the southern Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A trough will cross New South Wales on Tuesday and Wednesday with patchy rain for most districts, before another cold front crosses the state late in the week. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers along the northern coast, more widespread about the Port Stephen to Forster area. Possible isolated showers about exposed parts of the southern coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frost inland and isolated early fog patches. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh along the coast, particularly in the north.Monday 14 JulyIsolated showers along the coast, more frequent along the northern coastal fringe. Light patchy rain developing in the far west during the day. Becoming cloudy over the ranges and western slopes. Widespread morning frosts and patches of fog about the ranges and in the west. Southeast to northeast winds inland, south to southeast winds along the coast.Tuesday 15 JulyScattered showers along the coast. Scattered showers and areas of rain over the west, with more isolated shower activity along the ranges. North to northeast winds.Wednesday 16 JulyIsolated showers across the state, with some periods of rain along the ranges and western slopes, mostly clearing by the evening.
