MELBOURNE - Jul 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1032 hPa centred south of the Bight, will move eastwards over the next few days to be over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A cold front will move across the west of the State on Tuesday and then weaken. Another front will move across the west on Wednesday and the remainder of the State on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from possible isolated showers over far western and southern coasts. Cool to cold with light to moderate south to southeast winds.Sunday 13 JulyCold to very cold early with areas of frost over the agricultural area, Flinders district and south of the pastoral districts. Possible isolated morning showers near the Lower South East coast. Patchy rain developing north of about Coober Pedy to Moomba, tending to areas of rain between Pukatja and Oodnadatta. A cold day with light winds, tending moderate easterly in the north and west.Monday 14 JulyEarly frost over central eastern districts. Patchy north of about Woomera, extending southwards to a line Port Lincoln to Lameroo late evening and tending to areas of rain in the far north between Pukatja and Oodnadatta. Cold to very cold with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Tuesday 15 JulyPatchy rain east of about Leigh Creek to Cape Borda, contracting east and clearing by midday. Isolated showers to follow over the agricultural area and possibly the south of the pastoral districts. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northerly winds, turning fresh and gusty westerly in the west.Wednesday 16 July Scattered showers over the southern agricultural area, with possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area. Cool to cold, grading to mild in the far north. Light winds in the far north, moderate to fresh northwest to westerly winds over the remainder, strong about southern coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday evening until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm over the far north between Pukatja and Oodnadatta and over the southern agricultural area, reaching 10 to 20 mm about the Mount Lofty Ranges. Less then 5 mm over the remainder.
