Weather Situation A high over central Australia is pushing cool, dry air across most of Queensland. Fresher winds today about the state's southeast as these winds flow towards a trough well offshore in the Coral Sea. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine and sunny across the state. Light to moderate southeast to southwest winds across most of the state, fresh and gusty at times about the southeast.Tuesday 8 JulyA ridge of high pressure over southern Queensland will keep the state fine and sunny. Widespread morning frost over the southern half of the state, and also over parts of the northern interior.Wednesday 9 JulyDry air should keep the state fine and sunny. Daytime temperatures rising above the monthly average over the interior as northwesterly winds freshen ahead of a gusty cool change. Areas of frost over the central interior and southeast interior.Thursday 10 JulyA new high over central Australia should maintain fine, dry and cool conditions across most of the state, and push chilly, gusty westerly winds over the state's southern districts.
