Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 7/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front approaching the western border will weaken and slide southeastwards today. A vigorous cold front will move across the west of the State on Tuesday and remaining parts on Wednesday. Another front will move across the south of the State on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayEarly fog patches in the east. Early frost in the Riverland and Northeast Pastoral districts. Possible isolated showers developing over Lower Eyre Peninsula and the west of Kangaroo Island from late afternoon. Mild with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 8 JulyScattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms extending over western and southern coasts. Isolated showers extending from the west over the rest of the agricultural area. Mild with fresh north to northwesterly winds, turning colder fresh to strong westerly in the west. Possible small hail over the West Coast district in the evening.Wednesday 9 JulyWidespread showers about southern and western coasts, grading to isolated showers over the northern agricultural area, Flinders and far south of the pastorals. Possible small hail in parts. Possible isolated thunderstorms over the agricultural area. Cool with fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds.Thursday 10 July
Scattered showers about southern and western coasts, grading to isolated showers over the northern agricultural area, Flinders and far south of the pastorals. Possible isolated thunderstorms and small hail over the southern agricultural area. Cool with fresh to strong northwest to southwesterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning to midnight Thursday are expected to be up to 5 mm about the far southern parts of the Pastoral districts, 5 to 15 mm over the northern agricultural areas, Flinders and West Coast. Falls increasing to 15 to 25 mm about the southern agricultural area, with local falls of 25 to 40 mm about southern coasts and ranges and the west coast of Eyre Peninsula.
Friday until SundayA high chance of showers over the southern agricultural area, grading to a slight chance over the northern agricultural area and far south of the pastorals, easing and contracting south through the period to clear by Sunday afternoon. Cool with fresh to strong northwest to southwesterly winds, generally easing to becoming light to moderately westerly on Saturday then light and variable on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
