MELBOURNE - Jul 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low 1000 hPa west of Tasmania is moving eastwards and weakening as a high moves over the north of South Australia. A weak front will move over the southeast of the State on Sunday morning, followed by another front moving across the west on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, with the chance of isolated showers over the northern agricultural area during the day. Showers scattered in the Lower South East coast till evening. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds in the south, tending light and variable elsewhere.Sunday 6 JulyScattered showers south of about Minlaton to Lameroo in the morning, with isolated showers over the rest of the agricultural area, the Flinders and south of the Northeast Pastoral districts, contracting eastwards during the afternoon and clearing throughout by evening. Early frost patches over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Early fog patches over Eastern Eyre Peninsula, far south of the Northwest Pastoral, Flinders and Mid-North districts. Cool to mild with mainly light winds tending moderate northwest to southwest about central parts.Monday 7 JulyPossible isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast in the early morning and about the western coasts of Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in the evening. Mild with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 8 July Scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms extending from the west over western and southern coasts. Isolated showers extending from the west over the rest of the agricultural area and possibly over the south of the Pastorals. Mild with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, turning colder westerly in the west, strong at times near the coasts. Possible small hail over the West Coast district and far south of the Northwest Pastoral in the evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be up to 5 mm about the far west coast, the northern agricultural area and far southern parts of the Pastoral districts, 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area and locals falls of 15 to 25 mm about southern coasts and ranges and the west coast of Eyre Peninsula.
