Australia -- Queensland Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high pressure system should drift across the northern reaches of the Tasman Sea early. A new high will become established over South Australia and will push dry air across Queensland from Saturday well into the new week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMainly isolated showers about the eastern districts and the central and southern interior, contracting to the coast overnight. The chance of some isolated storms about the southeast overnight. Moderate to fresh southeast to southwest winds.Saturday 5 JulyFine and dry across the state except for some isolated showers and storms about the southern and central coast ahead early in the morning, and some isolated showers about the northeast coast. Morning frost possible about the Granite Belt. Moderate to fresh southeast to southwest winds.Sunday 6 JulyA new high over South Australia will push dry air across Queensland. Fine and sunny across the state except for some isolated showers about the far north coast. Widespread frost over the central, southern and southeast interior.Monday 7 JulyThe high will drift eastwards across northern New South Wales maintaining fine, dry and sunny conditions across Queensland. Widespread morning frost over the central, southern and southeast interior.Tuesday 8 JulyA ridge of high pressure should persist over southern Queensland maintaining fine and sunny conditions across the state except for some isolated showers about the northeast coast. Widespread morning frost over the central, southern and southeast interior.Wednesday until FridayAnother high should stretch across southern Australia and will push more dry air into Queensland, maintaining fine and dry conditions across most of the state.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Saturday.Product IDQ10700
