Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low 994 hPa west of Tasmania is moving eastwards and weakening as a high moves over the north of South Australia. A weak front will move over the southeast of the State on Sunday morning, followed by another front moving across the west on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, tending scattered about the Lower South East coast.remainder of the agricultural area. Showers contracting southwards during the afternoon and evening. Possible thunderstorms near the Lower South East coast until late afternoon. Cold in the north at first with frost and fog patches. Cool with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong near the coasts, easing in the west.Saturday 5 JulyIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, tending scattered about the Lower South East coast until mid afternoon. Possible isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and far south of the Pastoral districts Early frost patches over the Pastoral and Flinders districts, with early fog patches over the Flinders and south of the North West Pastoral. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds in the south, tending light and variable elsewhere.Sunday 6 JulyScattered showers south of about Minlaton to Lameroo in the morning, with isolated showers over the rest of the agricultural area, the Flinders and south of the Northeast Pastoral districts, contracting eastwards during the afternoon and clearing throughout by evening. Early frost patches over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Early fog patches over Eastern Eyre Peninsula, far south of the Northwest Pastoral, Flinders and Mid-North districts.Cool to mild with mainly light winds tending moderate northwest to southwest about central parts.Monday 7 JulyPossible isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast in the early morning and about the western coasts of Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in the evening. Mild with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds.Tuesday 8 July
Scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms extending from the west over western and southern coasts. Isolated showers extending from the west over the rest of the agricultural area and possibly over the south of the Pastorals. Mild with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, turning colder westerly in the west, strong at times near the coasts. Possible small hail over the West Coast district and far south of the Northwest Pastoral in the evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be up to 5 mm about the far west coast, the northern agricultural area and far southern parts of the Pastoral districts, 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area and locals falls of 15 to 25 mm about southern coasts and ranges and the west coast of Eyre Peninsula.
Wednesday until FridayA very high chance of showers over the southern agricultural area, grading to a medium chance over the south of the Pastoral districts, easing to a medium chance over the southern agricultural area and a slight chance over the northern agricultural area on Thursday and Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
