Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 2/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over NSW will move slowly eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Friday. A low and associated front will move over western SA today and eastern SA on Friday. A new high is expected to move over the north of the State during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayEarly morning frost patches in the Riverland and the south of the Northeast pastoral district. Isolated showers extending over coastal parts of the West Coast district during the day, then extending east to reach about Edithburgh to Cowell to Ceduna by late evening and increasing to scattered showers about western parts of the Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Generally cool with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a southwesterly change over western parts of the State, fresh to strong at times about western and central coasts.Friday 4 JulyScattered showers over the southern agricultural area contracting east and becoming isolated during the day. Isolated showers elsewhere over the agricultural area, possibly reaching into southern parts of the Pastoral districts, all contracting south and easing. Possible isolated thunderstorms south of about Kangaroo Island until early evening. Early morning frost patches mainly over the Flinders and southern Pastoral districts. Cool to mild in the north with light to moderate southwesterly winds. Cool in the south with moderate to fresh southerly winds extending throughout during the morning.Saturday 5 JulyScattered showers over the southern coasts and ranges, easing during the morning. Isolated showers over the rest of the southern agricultural area, possibly reaching into the northern agricultural area. Morning fog patches northwest of Eyre Peninsula. Early morning frost patches mainly over the Flinders and southern Pastoral districts. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds easing during the day.Sunday 6 July
Isolated showers clearing from the southern coasts and ranges during the day. Cool to mild with light winds turning moderate north to northwesterly from the west during the afternoon.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning to midnight Sunday are expected to be 0 to 2 mm about western coasts, the northern agricultural area and southern parts of the Pastoral districts, 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area and isolated falls of 10 to 20 mm about southern coasts and ranges, mostly occurring on Friday.
Monday until WednesdayFine and mild at first with a slight chance of showers developing about the West Coast district later on Monday associated with an approaching front. The front is expected to move over the southern parts of the State on Tuesday and Wednesday resulting in a high chance of showers over much of the southern agricultural area and a slight chance of showers extending over southern Pastoral districts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
