Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the east of South Australia will move slowly eastwards over NSW today and on Thursday. A low and associated front will move over western SA on Thursday, then continue over eastern SA on Friday. A new high is expected to move over the State during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated light showers about the Lower South East clearing in the afternoon. Morning fog patches over agricultural areas and possible early frost over the Flinders and riverland districts. Generally cool with light winds.Thursday 3 JulyIsolated showers extending over the West Coast district during the day, reaching Kingscote to Cowell by late evening and increasing to scattered showers about western parts of the Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Cool to mild with fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change over western parts of the State, fresh to strong at times about western and central coasts.Friday 4 JulyScattered showers over the southern agricultural area contracting east and becoming isolated during the day. Isolated showers elsewhere over the agricultural area, possibly reaching into southern parts of the Pastoral districts, all contracting south and easing. Possible isolated thunderstorms south of about Kangaroo Island contracting east and clearing during the afternoon. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwesterly winds in the north. Cool in the south with moderate to fresh southerly winds extending throughout during the morning.Saturday 5 July
Isolated showers over much of the southern agricultural area, possibly reaching into the northern agricultural area east of the ranges. Morning fog patches northwest of Eyre Peninsula. Cool moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds easing during the day.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning to midnight Saturday are expected to be 0 to 2 mm about the northern agricultural area and southern parts of the Pastoral districts, 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area and western coasts and 10 to 20 mm about southern coasts and ranges, mostly occurring on Friday.
Sunday until TuesdayPossible isolated showers clearing from the southern coasts and ranges on Sunday. Fine on Monday and at first on Tuesday ahead of southwesterly change bringing showers to agricultural areas on Tuesday. Cool to mild with moderate northerly winds shifting cooler, moderate to fresh southwesterly following the change on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
