Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 30/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front moved across eastern Victoria last night. A high pressure system building over South Australia will move slowly eastwards during today and Wednesday, to cross southern NSW and northern Victoria. The next cold front and associated low pressure system will move across the Bight on Thursday to enter western Victoria during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMorning fog and frost patches in the north. Isolated showers in southern and mountain areas, more widespread in the east and about the coast at first. Cloudy but mainly fine in the north. Snowfalls above 1400 metres. A cool to cold day with moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh at times about the coast.Wednesday 2 JulyMorning fog and frost patches in the north. Isolated morning showers possible in the southeast and on the ranges, otherwise fine. Early snowfalls possible above 1600 metres. Cool and partly cloudy with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds.Thursday 3 JulyMorning fog patches and possible early drizzle in the northeast. Possible showers in the far southwest later, otherwise fine. Cool to mild and mostly sunny with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds.Friday 4 JulyScattered showers developing in the west and extending to central and northeastern areas by the evening. Isolated thunderstorms possible in the far southwest. Snow extending down to 1400 metres. Freshening north to northwest winds, shifting west to southwest over western areas later in the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
