Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
The last of a series of cold fronts will move across Bass Strait and southern Victoria on Monday as a high pressure system builds over the Bight. The high will move slowly eastwards and will be located over southeastern Australia by Wednesday. Another cold front will approach Victoria on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayMorning fog and frost patches in the north. Isolated showers over southern and mountain areas, more widespread near the coast and extending over the northwest during the afternoon. Snowfalls above 800 metres in the morning, rising to 1300 metres in the afternoon. A cool day with moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh near the coast.Tuesday 1 JulyMorning fog and frost patches in the north. Isolated showers in southern and mountain areas, more widespread in the far east. Snowfalls above 1400 metres. A cool to cold day with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh about the coast.Wednesday 2 JulyMorning fog and frost patches in the north. Isolated morning showers possible in the southeast and on the ranges, otherwise fine. Early snowfalls possible above 1600 metres. Cool and partly cloudy with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds.Thursday 3 JulyMorning fog patches and possible early drizzle in the northeast. Possible showers in the far southwest later, otherwise fine. Cool to mild and mostly sunny with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Monday.Product IDV10310
