Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak trough lies near the South Coast in the Tasman Sea, and a cold front is expected to pass to the south of the state from the west of Tasmania. A high pressure system lies over Western Australia, and is directing a generally southwesterly airstream over New South Wales. The high pressure system will move slowly east to be centred over New South Wales by Wednesday night. As a result morning frost and fog will become more of a feature of the weather.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the ranges, more widespread in the south, falling as snow above about 850 metres, contracting above 1300 metres during the day. Dry elsewhere. Early frost patches about the ranges. Moderate west to southwest winds, fresh in the east, moderating later.Tuesday 1 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges, falling as snow above about 1300 metres. Morning frost areas, more widespread about the ranges. Moderate to fresh southwest winds.Wednesday 2 JulyIsolated light showers possible about exposed parts of the north coast, and about the far southern ranges. Fine, mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost areas, widespread about the ranges. Morning fog areas west of the ranges. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Thursday 3 JulyMorning frost and fog areas, otherwise mostly sunny apart from the chance of a shower along the far north coast.
