MELBOURNE - Jun 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over southwest WA will move eastwards across South Australia during Monday and Tuesday to be centred over NSW on Wednesday. A front will move over the southeast of the State on Monday with another front moving across the State on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural areas and south of the pastoral districts, contracting to the southern agricultural area during the evening. Showers scattered at times about southern coasts and the northern Eyre Peninsula coast. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.Monday 30 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast, tending scattered over the southern coastal area and the northern Eyre Peninsula coast during the morning. Isolated morning fog patches. Possible early morning frost over the Northwest Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool with moderate south to southwest winds, fresh near southern coasts.Tuesday 1 JulyPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, more likely near the coasts. Isolated morning fog patches. Cool to mild with light winds.Wednesday 2 JulyPossible isolated showers about southern coasts. Morning fog patches over the southeast. Cool to mild with light winds.Thursday 3 July Isolated showers extending from the west to reach about Mt Gambier to Clare to Ceduna by late evening and becoming scattered about Kangaroo Island and the southern extents of the peninsulas. Mild at first with fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change over western parts of the state, fresh to strong about western coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area and western coasts, with less than 2 mm expected elsewhere. Friday until SundayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area on Friday contracting east and becoming isolated during the day. Isolated showers elsewhere over the agricultural area contracting south and easing during the period.
