MELBOURNE - Jun 28/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation An intense low 983 hPa is centred southeast of Tasmania. Further fronts will move over the southeast of the State today and on Monday followed by a high moving over the Bight later on Monday. Another front will move across the State on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area and Flinders district, with isolated showers elsewhere south of Coober Pedy. Possible isolated morning thunder over central districts. Possible small hail over central and eastern districts south of about Clare. Cool to cold with fresh southwesterly winds, strong near southern coasts.Monday 30 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast, tending scattered over the southern agricultural area, particularly about the gulf coasts. Isolated morning fog patches. Cool with moderate south to southwest winds, fresh near southern coasts.Tuesday 1 JulyPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, more likely near the coasts. Isolated morning fog patches. Cool to mild with light winds.Wednesday 2 July Possible isolated showers about southern coasts on Wednesday. Morning fog patches over the southeast. Cool to mild with light winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area and Flinders district, reaching 10 to 20 mm over the south of the Flinders Ranges. Less than 2 mm elsewhere. Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers extending from the west on Thursday, to be over the agricultural area on Friday, then contracting to southern coasts on Saturday. Fresh northerly winds, shifting southwesterly and becoming fresh to strong about southern coasts then easing on Saturday.
