Weather Situation A high over central Australia will gradually drift eastwards, entering the Coral Sea on Friday. A trough system will move across Queensland during Saturday, followed by a new ridge from the next high pressure system over southwestern Australia. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine, dry and sunny across the state apart for some isolated light showers about the northeast coast. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh at times about the northern districts.Friday 27 JuneFine, dry and sunny across most of the state apart for some isolated light showers about the northeast coast. Widespread early frost through the central, southern and southeastern interior.Saturday 28 JuneA trough system will move rapidly across the state, generating some isolated shower activity over the southeast during the afternoon and evening. A new ridge of high pressure will push a cool and gusty southwest wind change across the southern interior behind the trough. Fine, dry and sunny over the remainder of the state, apart from some isolated showers about the far northeast coast.Sunday 29 JuneThe high over southwest Australia should continue to push cool, dry air across most of Queensland. Fine and sunny over most of Queensland, with only some isolated showers along the far northeast coast. Areas of early morning frost about the southern interior.Monday 30 JuneThe ridge should persist over southern Australia, maintaining fine, dry and sunny conditions across Queensland and extensive areas of morning frost over the central, southern and southeastern interior.Tuesday until ThursdayThe high should drift gradually across southeast Australia, keeping most of Queensland fine, dry and sunny. Isolated showers developing about the east coast from mid week.
