Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong cold front will cross western and southeastern New South Wales during today and the northeast early Tuesday, bringing cold and vigorous west to southwesterly winds. A series of fronts will cross the state during the remainder of the week, with generally cool and windy conditions persisting.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over the southern inland tending more widespread over the south and central west slopes and ranges. Snow developing on the Alps, above 1600m in the morning then down to around 1000m by the evening. Partly cloudy in the north. North to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong ahead of a gusty, cold westerly change in the west.Tuesday 24 JuneIsolated showers over the southern inland tending more widespread on the south and central west slopes and ranges. Snow on the Alps and possibly over parts of the central and southern ranges above around 800 metres in the morning. Mostly sunny in the north. Cold westerly winds, fresh to strong in the south.Wednesday 25 JuneIsolated showers along the western slopes of the central and southern ranges, more frequent in the south, with snow showers above about 1200m. Partly cloudy over the remainder of the inland, mostly sunny along the coast. West to northwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty along the ranges.Thursday 26 JuneIsolated showers along the western slopes of the central and southern ranges, more frequent in the south, with snow showers above about 1400m. Partly cloudy elsewhere in the southern inland. Mostly sunny in the north and along the coast.
