Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
An intense low south of Kangaroo Island this morning will move southeastwards during Monday. An associated vigorous cold front will move over southern parts of the State today. A series of cold fronts will then move over southern parts of the State during the week.
Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area and south of the Flinders, with isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Possible isolated thunderstorms and small hail south of about Ceduna to Port Augusta to Renmark. Cool to cold with fresh to strong and gusty northwest to southwesterly winds, reaching strong to gale force at times about southern coasts during the morning.Tuesday 24 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, scattered about the southern agricultural area. Possible early small hail about eastern districts. Cool to cold with fresh to strong southwesterly winds reaching strong to Gale force at times about southern coasts.Wednesday 25 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, becoming scattered about southern coasts during the afternoon and evening. Cool to cold with light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh in the south and strong at times about southern coasts.Thursday 26 June
Isolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, scattered over southern coasts and ranges. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts during the morning.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning to midnight Thursday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area, with local falls of 20 to 50 mm about the ranges and southern coasts. 2 to 10 mm is expected over the northern agricultural area and western districts with less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Friday until SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, scattered about the southern agricultural area. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong at times about the coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
