Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 22/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
An intense low well south of the Bight will move eastwards during Monday. An associated vigorous cold front will continue to move over the west of the State this evening and the remainder on Monday. A series of cold fronts will then move over southern parts of the State during the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers extending over west coast during the evening then the southern agricultural area later in the evening, increasing to scattered showers about southern coasts. Possible thunderstorms over western Kangaroo Island late evening. Mild in the south grading to warm in the far northwest. Moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, shifting cooler west to southwesterly in the west in the evening. Strong to Gale force winds at times about western coasts during the evening. Fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds about the Mt Lofty Ranges.Monday 23 JuneScattered showers over the southern agricultural area and south of the Flinders, with isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Possible isolated thunderstorms and small hail south of about Ceduna to Renmark. Cool to cold with fresh to strong and gusty northwest to southwest winds, reaching Strong to Gale force at times about southern coasts during the morning.Tuesday 24 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, scattered about the southern agricultural area. Possible early small hail about eastern districts. Cool to cold with fresh to strong southwesterly winds reaching strong to Gale force at times about southern coasts.Wednesday 25 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, becoming scattered about southern coasts during the afternoon and evening. Cool to cold with light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh in the south and strong at times about southern coasts.Thursday 26 June
Isolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, scattered over southern coasts and ranges. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts during the morning.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area, with local falls of 20 to 50 mm about the ranges and southern coasts. 2 to 10 mm is expected over the northern agricultural area and western districts with less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Friday until SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, scattered about the southern agricultural area.
