Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over eastern New South Wales will move slowly eastwards to be centred over the northern Tasman Sea on Friday. A cold front is expected to move over the agricultural area on Friday, followed by another high pressure system that will develop over the northwest of the State. A second cold front will move over western and southern coasts later Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine day. Possible isolated showers developing about the western coast of Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island during the evening. Cool to mild. Mainly moderate north to northwesterly winds strengthening about ocean coasts, then shifting westerly in the west during the afternoon and evening.Friday 20 JuneIsolated showers extending over the southern agricultural area, with showers increasing to scattered near southern coasts and ranges. Possible isolated showers developing over the northern agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.Saturday 21 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts, contracting southwards during the afternoon. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Mainly moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, turning northerly in the west.Sunday 22 June
Possible isolated showers near southern coasts, with isolated showers extending over the southern agricultural area and western districts in the late afternoon or evening, increasing to scattered showers near southern coasts and ranges. Mild in the south grading to warm in the far northwest. Moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, shifting cooler west to southwesterly in the west in the afternoon or evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning to midnight Sunday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area, with isolated falls of 10 to 20 mm over southern coasts and ranges. 1 to 5 mm is expected over the northern agricultural area with less than 1 mm further north.
Monday until WednesdayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area, with isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Showers becoming isolated and confined to the southern agricultural area on Wednesday. Cool to cold with fresh to strong southwesterly winds, easing on Tuesday, becoming light in the north on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
