Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over northwestern Victoria will slowly move across the State on Wednesday and will reach the Tasman Sea on Thursday as the next cold front crosses waters south of the Bight. The front will cross Victoria late Friday and during Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayMorning fog and frost patches in the northeast. Isolated showers possible over West Gippsland but dry elsewhere. A cool and partly cloudy day with light winds.Thursday 19 JuneMorning fog and frost patches mainly in the east. A cool and dry day with high cloud increasing from the west. Light to moderate northerly winds.Friday 20 JuneScattered showers over the southwest and about the northeast ranges, falling as snow above 1500 metres. Isolated showers over most remaining districts, but dry over the far northwest and over the southeast. A cool day with moderate to fresh northwest to northerly winds later shifting westerly across western districts.Saturday 21 JuneScattered showers over the southwest and about the northeast ranges, falling as snow above 1500 metres. Isolated showers elsewhere. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds tending cooler southwesterly over western and central district.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDV10310
