MELBOURNE - Jun 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system centred near the Victorian border is expected to drift slowly across the state in the next day or two. A trough will form over the state on Friday and generate some more unsettled weather on Friday and Saturday as the high moves away over the Tasman Sea. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPossible isolated showers developing along the northern coast, more likely over the northern Hunter and southern Mid North Coast. Areas of morning fog. Morning frost, many ranges and adjacent slopes. A mostly sunny afternoon. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh along parts of the coast.Thursday 19 JuneIsolated showers along the north far coast, with possible drizzle on the adjacent ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Frost areas and patchy fog over the inland. Light winds tending north to northwesterly inland.Friday 20 JuneIsolated showers developing across the eastern half of the state, more scattered on the western slopes of the central ranges. Fine and partly cloudy in the far west. North to northwest winds, becoming fresh to strong in the south and over the central ranges.Saturday 21 JuneIsolated showers in the northeast of the state and the South West Slopes, more scattered in the far south. Showers possibly extending further west to the Riverina, Central West Plains and far south of the Lower Western districts.
