Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A 1032 hPa high over the east of the State will move slowly eastwards over the next few days to be centred over the Tasman sea on Friday. A cold front is expected to move over the agricultural area on Friday, followed by a high pressure system which will develop over the northwest of the State.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine. Cool with light and variable winds, turning northeast to northerly over the north and west of the State.Wednesday 18 JuneCool to cold at first with early morning frost patches possible in the east, north of about Lameroo and in the far northwest. A fine, cool to mild day with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Thursday 19 JuneCool to cold at first with early morning frost patches possible in the east, north of about Lameroo and in the far northwest. Possible isolated showers developing about the western coast of Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island during the evening. Cool to mild with mainly moderate north to northwesterly winds shifting westerly in the west during the afternoon and evening.Friday 20 JuneScattered showers extending over the southern agricultural area, with isolated showers developing over the northern agricultural area, possibly reaching the southern parts of the pastoral districts. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.Saturday 21 June
Isolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts, contracting southwards during the afternoon. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Mainly moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, turning northerly in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area, 1 to 5 mm over the northern agricultural area with less than 1 mm further north. Isolated falls of 10 to 20 mm are possible over southern coasts and ranges.
Sunday until TuesdayPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, increasing to scattered near southern and western coasts late evening. Scattered showers developing over the southern agricultural area on Monday, with isolated showers extending further north into the south of the Flinders and Pastoral districts. Isolated showers persisting on Tuesday. Mild on Sunday with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, shifting cooler southwest to southerly on Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
